Description: Our client is currently seeking a SDET Analyst for a W2 contract


Job Description:
  • Contribute to the department's automation goals.
  • Design, implement, and enhance the company's automation framework.
  • Manage automation test environments, ensuring software and test data meet testing requirements.
  • Assist with and utilize the pipeline for executing automation tests.
  • Create Java-based automation test cases and perform code reviews, providing constructive feedback.
  • Analyze data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases, including ad-hoc and exploratory testing.
  • Conduct back-end, API, and integration testing.
  • Define and promote best practices, standards, and processes for test automation.
  • Document and review testing results, collaborating with developers and business analysts to resolve issues.
  • Develop and create test data for manual and automated test cases.
  • Perform software configurations and deployments to manage testing systems.
  • Manage testing timelines to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Ensure high quality in all deliverables, including software, test cases, bug cases, automation plans, and documented results.
  • Understand and follow branching strategies.
  • Become a subject matter expert on existing and new features, ensuring thorough testing, log review for troubleshooting, and updating test cases.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Business/CS, or related field, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of coding experience with Java and SQL.
  • Expertise in using Selenium, Selenide, and Appium for mobile automation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience engaging with Product Development, IT, and Software Ops teams.
  • Experience interfacing with software developers and team managers to improve upstream processes and enhance downstream QA system testing.
  • Proven ability to develop an automation framework or create automated tests for web-driven testing and API testing.
  • Attention to detail, effective documentation skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • History of teamwork and willingness to take on various roles to get the job done.
  • Desire to help others succeed and achieve their best.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience with microservice automation.
  • Familiarity with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Experience with CI/CD, GitHub, IntelliJ, Docker, Maven.
  • Experience with Jira and TestRail integration.
