The Seasonal Truck Driver will report to the Plant Manager to obtain details for daily assignments and tasks. The Seasonal Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe operation and transportation of equipment and material from site to site.

Essential Functions

  • Transport and drive equipment to and from job sites in a safe and timely manner
  • Assist, load and supervise loading of truck in order to ensure proper order and weight distribution, assure safety of the cargo, equipment, and limit danger to people
  • Maintain complete and accurate records such as, daily logs, fuel logs, fuel receipts, delivery documentation
  • Obtain shipping documents and necessary signatures and return said documents to appropriate department as required
  • Inspect, monitor all gauges and equipment, provide and document proper routine maintenance of trucks/equipment in accordance with established policies; reporting concerns or problems immediately
  • Operate trucks and equipment in accordance with all DOT regulations and observe all safety regulations established by Pavement Maintenance Systems, LLC and the DMV for the safe operation of commercial vehicles
  • Maintain assigned vehicles and/or equipment to a high standard of cleanliness
  • Assist in training others to operate assigned trucks/equipment
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or plant manager
Education Qualifications
  • Required High School or Equivalent
Experience Qualifications
  • Required to pass a criminal background check and routine physical and drug screen
  • Required willingness and ability to travel and work overtime, when needed
Skills and Abilities
  • Must maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance
  • Follow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on schedule
  • Read, write, and communicate in English & understand basic math
  • Working knowledge of US Aggregates Safety and Operating principles
  • Complete all applicable documentation, recordkeeping, and daily inventory
  • Participate in safety briefings, job briefings, and any other pass on information from team members, management, or customer
  • Must be able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules, as well as take on additional job responsibilities as needed or assigned
  • Flexibility required; ability to work days, nights, weekends
  • Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Must possess and exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently to get things done
  • Strong welding, torching, and maintenance skills preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record Required
  • CDL or ability to obtain one within specified time after being hired Required
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
  • Must have the ability to continuously stand or walk on level or uneven ground
  • Must have the ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairways and incline catwalks
  • Must have the ability to bend, crouch and/or kneel at the waist or knees
  • Must have the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work outside the majority of the time and withstand extreme weather conditions. Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather
