Senior Accountant - Healthcare (CPA Highly Preferred)

We are currently looking for a highly professional, skilled Senior Accountant with a CPA and management/supervisory experience for our healthcare client in the Newark, Union City, Fremont area. This role has the opportunity to work hybrid and the are hiring immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and healthcare regulations.
- Oversee the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to drive financial performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Conduct audits and assist with internal and external audit processes.
- Prepare tax filings and support tax compliance activities.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations to management.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and healthcare regulations.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
