Volt is immediately hiring for Senior Accountant in San Diego, California (Remote)
As a Senior Accountant you will:
- Prepare routine and non-routine journal entries and adjustments to ensure proper recognition of accounts in support of the month-end close.
- Prepare and review monthly reconciliations of assigned accounts.
- Prepare intercompany journal entries and maintain intercompany ledger accounts.
- Review payrolls register and book payroll expenses.
- Assist in the development and documentation of key processes and controls.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Manage and maintain fixed asset schedules.
- Manage and maintain capital project reports.
- Review cash entries and manage and maintain bank account reconciliation.
- May assist in the preparation of technical accounting memos and narratives to support accounting treatment.
- Prepare year-end audit schedules in conjunction with the annual external audit.
- Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders inside and outside the Finance department.
This is a
full-time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Several years of progressive full cycle technical accounting experience, public accounting experience preferred
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e vlookups, pivots, etc.)
- Possess excellent organizational, communication and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with international transactions, including foreign exchange transactions and intercompany reconciliations
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Education, Licenses and Certificates:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
