Your Role

As a Sr. Technical Project Manager within the Process and Technology team, you are a critical business partner for and will be accountable for managing and advancing technology within MilliporeSigma's Life Science Biologics Sector. This position will support growth by developing & expanding internal capabilities, deploying best-in-class robust processes & technologies to ensure efficient use of our assets. Specifically, this position will scout, develop, and execute advanced manufacturing & automation technologies to help develop best-in-class industrial strategies for existing & new products. This position will ensure that technology roadmaps for core technologies are developed, documented, executed, updated, and tracked to completion to achieve our business commitments. The Projects/Programs are significant in size and are usually of a complex nature. The Senior Process & Technology Project Manager will be in contact with internal stakeholders across the organization and will work closely with the execution teams of our projects. This position requires good stakeholder and communication skills, as well as a solid technical background with understanding of engineering and scientific best practices.

The preferred location of this position is in Temecula, California, or St. Louis, Missouri

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, or Science related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in technical project management for project execution or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of quality and safety regulations

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in engineering, or Science related field
  • Experience in a multinational environment (preferably life science or pharma and/or within Merck)
  • Understanding of Engineering and Biological / Life Science processes
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma trained would be an advantage
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Experience of managing contracts and external design with external company management
  • Deep expertise in Engineering, Life Science processes, and Project management

  • Process driven and experienced in standardizing and simplifying work processes
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, advanced in MS PowerPoint and Excel
  • Able to develop executive level presentations and reports in an efficient manner
  • Good stakeholder management skills across all levels
  • Experience in working in a complex matrix organization
  • Discretion and ability to deal with confidential information
  • Ability to engage broad audiences to adopt new work processes and drive change
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety
