Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee nuclear projects with a total cost exceeding $10M. This role involves independent planning, scheduling, and control of activities. The Senior Project Manager will lead project teams of more than ten people, handling multidiscipline projects with high complexity, risk, and financial investment. Key responsibilities include:

• Establishing project priorities and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all project aspects.
• Directing activities of multidisciplinary project teams and staying updated on new technologies and industry trends.
• Monitoring and recommending improvements to project management processes.
• Managing project budgets in collaboration with finance and project controls groups.
• Coordinating with other project and line managers.
• Mentoring and coaching other project managers.
• Acting as a supervisor/manager when required.

Must Have:

• Active PMP Certification.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Manage project activities for refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line work, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.
• Oversee all aspects of project implementation, including budget management, work package preparation, parts procurement, ALARA planning, safety, clearance order preparation, work prioritization, resource loading, risk management, and work execution.
• Develop and track project budgets, ensuring proper progress through frequent client and stakeholder interactions.
• Manage contracts and vendor interfaces.
• Develop project schedules to manage risk, track progress, enforce accountability, and manage critical path and float.
• Mentor less experienced project managers.
• Prepare and deliver communications to various groups, including senior management.
• Develop and maintain long-range plan strategies for assigned projects.
• Support the Columbia Generating Station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.
• Provide outage support, including OCC.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from an accredited college or university and 20 years of experience in a technical field; OR
• AA/AS degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from an accredited college or university and 22 years of experience in a technical field; OR
• High School Diploma or GED and 24 years of experience in a technical field.
• An advanced degree in a related field or business may substitute for two years of experience.
• RO/SRO License or CGS Management Certification is required.
