The Opportunity:
The MGB Digital Project Specialist for MGH Danvers and Waltham has accountability for the execution of site-based technology projects and operations and works under the supervision of the MGB Digital Senior Manager to ensure alignment with Mass General Hospital and Mass General Brigham strategies to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care. As a member of matrixed technical team primarily supporting MGH Danvers and Waltham, the Project Specialist will participate in a collaborative structure to maintain current technical environments and leverage information technology to achieve operational improvements.
The Project Specialist is responsible for working with MGB Digital, MGH technical teams and leadership annually to review capital project needs related to Digital, building and technical infrastructure upgrades.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Working under the direction of the MGH\MGPO Digital Senior Manager, implement Digital\IS strategy for MGH ambulatory sites in Danvers in Waltham and assist with projects at other MGB sites including MGH in Boston.
2. Meet with senior leaders from ambulatory care centers regularly to identify and implement technical and operational solutions.
3. Coordinate work with vendors and MGB technical teams to complete projects related to installation of MGB standard and non-standard technical systems.
4. Work closely with onsite IS teams that manage and support complex patient care and quality assurance systems for MGH Radiation Oncology, Physics, Imaging, GI\Endoscopy, Day Surgery and outpatient departments.
• Systems include: radiation treatment, physics QA, treatment planning, GI\Endo examination, image transfer etc..
• Must have familiarity with technical project management, Windows servers, applications support, VOIP, mobile technology and audio\visual conferencing.
5. Work with MGH\MGPO IS teams, Biomedical engineering, and vendors to design, implement, manage and maintain technical systems used in MGH North Shore and Waltham operatingreatment rooms that support surgical, endoscopic and imaging procedures. This includes back-end system administration, workflow mapping, application management and end user support.
6. Manage and coordinate vendor support for AV systems in conference rooms used by clinical staff for multidisciplinary team meetings related to patient care.
7. Manage and provide technical support for digital marketing and wayfinding signage at MGH Danvers and Waltham.
8. Assist with management of MGH Danvers and Waltham Hospital Incident Command System (HICS)
9. Act as technical resource for Building Services teams to ensure building automation and environmental monitoring systems are meeting department needs.
10. Maintain documentation, software license and service contracts.
11. Assist in the evaluation, purchase and/or installation of computer equipment/software/hardware.
12. Coordinate technical training for staff as needed.
13. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
• Standard office environment with the potential of travel to Mass General Brigham locations.
• Requires frequent work in patient care areas.
• May require 24X7 responsibilities including evening, night and weekend hours as needed.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk; or hear; use hands to finger; handle; or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop; kneel; or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of related experience in healthcare IS or a related field.
• 5+ years of prior technical support and project management experience in healthcare or a related field.
Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in project management, product management and/or service management methods.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivery of high-quality customer service.
• Demonstrated experience as a collaborator, working across different teams/groups and with vendors to achieve results.
• General understanding financial concepts with a focus on expense management; experience developing and managing project budgets.
