Summary: Performs complex clerical, administrative and general office duties; transcribes, types, maintains records and files, distributes mail; performs telephone reception; welcomes and directs on-site visitors; duplicates and distributes photocopies; routes faxes; reviews work assignments of various subordinate levels to enhance administrative support efforts and meet department objectives; participates in the team or group work activities in the office; performs the above duties and responsibilities in a complex and confidential environment requiring limited supervision with considerable latitude for utilizing judgment and initiative.
Salary range is $39,215 - $48,294 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications:Required Education and Experience
Promotional Qualification Requirements
One (1) year of permanent full-time service in a secretarial or related title allocated to a Grade 5 or above.
Open Competitive Qualification Requirements
1. Associate's degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time secretarial or related experience; or
2. High School diploma High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time secretarial or related experience.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate should have previous experience updating patient demographics/insurance, knowledge of medical terminology, and working in ambulatory or outpatient setting.
