Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the level three Systems Administrator position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to provide Windows administration support, with a focus on design, specification, integration, and implementation within a large-scale end user computing architecture.
As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing client/server aspects across a complex distribution network with multiple classification enclaves. You will ensure seamless integration with Department of Defense (DoD) Command and Control (C2) systems, while adhering to associated information assurance processes and procedures. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining the integrity, security, and efficiency of our systems in a dynamic environment.
Compensation Minimum: $105,000
Compensation Maximum: $115,000
Job Requirements:
Skills / Experience Required
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)
- 3+ years of hands-on professional experience as System Administrator for program/project of similar size and scope
- 2+ years of experience as System Administrator supporting a DOD program of similar size and scope
- Enterprise Server services will support the following policies and technologies:
- Microsoft Windows server architectures
- Red Hat Linux server architectures
- VMware vSphere architectures
- Nutanix architectures
- Microsoft SQL server architectures including always on clusters
- Infrastructure as a service
- Platform as a service
- Server and application provisioning through automation
- Multi-tenancy server environments
- Server disaster recovery
- Applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Minimum Certifications Required: MCTS/MCSA or Linux+ or RHCSA
- Oracle Database Administration services shall support the following policies and technologies:
- Virtualized/cloud-based environments
- Automated testing tools
- Installation design and engineering support for upgrades and patching
- Database tuning and manipulation
- Data mapping, mining and transformational analysis tools
- Development and optimization
- Configuration and monitoring
- Backup and recovery planning
- Capacity planning
- Applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Education / Certifications - Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or IT related field
- Any Microsoft Windows certification or Linux+ certification
- Possess IAT/IAM Level II or greater (Cloud+ or GICSP or GSEC or SSCP)

Security ClearanceMust be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
Physical RequirementsWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
