Job Description:
As a Software Engineer in this contingent resource assignment, you will:
- Consult on and participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering.
- Contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables.
- Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables.
- Leverage a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Strong technical skills focused on a Java technology stack.
- Cloud experience with PCF and/or Azure Public.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, Object-Oriented development, Spring Boot, Microservices, and API development.
- Experience with jUnit.
- Experience with Subversion, Jenkins, GitHub, Gradle, and Maven.
- Experience deploying applications in a PCF environment.
- Hands-on experience with messaging frameworks such as Kafka.
- Work experience in an AGILE development environment.
- Good understanding of RDBMS databases (SQL Server preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and identify fixes.
- Eclipse or IntelliJ IDE
- Java/Spring/Spring Boot
- GitHub/TFS
- Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Gradle/Maven
- Angular/React
- Agile/Scrum
- Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or Pivotal CF (exposure to one of these cloud offerings is fine; hands-on experience would be great).
- Experience with Junit, TDD, or BDD.
