Job Summary

Bring your experience to Nordson MEDICAL as the Marketing Design Specialist. In this position, you will plan and execute various graphic design, web design, motion design, and marketing projects for internal and external audiences across multiple channels. You will split your time working in a collaborative team environment and independently to create clear, credible, and compelling communications for product branding and commercial launches, events, and ongoing campaigns that drive real-world business results across multiple medical markets & business units.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, design, and create marketing materials to include, website interfaces, digital advertising, collateral literature, print advertising, and video content.
  • Develop marketing campaigns for the purpose of generating new leads and opportunities for the sales organization.
  • Support existing marketing programs such as web-based campaigns and sends, search engine analytics, and list management.
  • External and internal email newsletter creation including writing, image creation, and custom coding.
  • Manage and support various internal communications and merchandising initiatives locally, and at facilities around the globe.


Education and Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years professional web and print design experience, healthcare related experience will be a plus
  • Minimum Associates Degree in Visual Communications, Bachelor's Degree preferred in Graphic Design/Visual Communications


Skills and Abilities
  • The successful candidate will offer a portfolio that demonstrates advanced conceptual, graphic design, illustration, and videography skills; the ability to think creatively; and a keen eye for the aesthetic, color use and typography.
  • Thorough understanding of search engine ad placement and campaign management
  • Strong web publishing skills in CSS, HTML, ASPX and basic web script languages
  • Stronger than usual attention to detail and deadlines
  • Ability to read and adapt to market trends and conditions
  • Ability to develop and implement marketing campaigns that are unique and effective
  • Ability to manage and maintain complex asset libraries
  • A quick learner with a willingness and ability to multitask and switch context when necessary
  • Budgeting and time management
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
  • Be flexible and objective about design work
  • Willingness to collaborate with other departments and accept constructive feedback
  • Possess the ability to develop timelines; strong problem solving and analytical skills; well-developed organizational skills


Computer Skills
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the following software packages: Adobe's Creative Cloud suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Dreamweaver, and InDesign. Maxon's Cinema 4D or similar advanced 3D application
  • Advanced skills and proficient in the use and navigation of Windows operating system in a networked environment. Ability to use advanced functions in most standard office applications. Ability to efficiently use advanced Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel functions to meet the productivity requirements of the position.
  • Must be capable of learning new software tools and use them efficiently.

Base Salary Range for this position is: $69,000 to $91,000, and bonus target is 3%; shift premium may be available depending on shift associated with the specific job opportunity. Benefits including Medical, Rx, Vision, Dental, and Health Savings Account (HSA), Retirement and Security benefits including 401k and Life Insurance. In addition to Paid Time Off and paid Holidays, each employee receives 16 hours paid time each calendar year to perform volunteer services for Nordson-sponsored events. The base salary pay range for this job level is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, business considerations, and local market conditions, as well as candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, and skills.
