Ledgent Technology is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT System Administrator for a 3-month contract to hire opportunity with our client in the healthcare technology sector. This role offers a hybrid work environment with the requirement to be on-site three days per week. However, candidates must be comfortable with the potential need to be fully on-site for the first two weeks to participate in training. In this role, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and support of the client's IT infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of all systems. You will work closely with the IT team to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues while maintaining a high level of security and compliance within a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems.
Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and standards, including HIPAA.
Perform regular system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, network connectivity, and security breaches.
Collaborate with the IT team to plan and implement system upgrades, patches, and disaster recovery procedures.
Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation of systems and processes.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT system administration, preferably within the healthcare technology industry.
Strong knowledge of server management, network administration, and cybersecurity best practices.
Experience with HIPAA compliance and other healthcare-related regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in managing virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and enterprise-level IT systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Additional Information: A laptop and other necessary equipment will be provided by the client. This position requires on-site work three days per week, with the potential for full on-site presence during the first two weeks for training.

Work Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM M-F
