Meet the team:

As Dexcom's Medical Affairs team grows globally and builds to best-in-class, we are seeking an experienced Sr. Manager of Value, Evidence, and Outcomes to join our team and be part of Dexcom's award-winning culture, recognized by Fortune's Best Workplaces in Health Care & Biopharma.

The Sr. Manager of Value, Evidence, and Outcomes is a key member of the Global Medical Affairs team and contributor to scientific communications, evidence planning and generation, and accredited medical/pharmacy education. They are a trusted and valued strategic partner, providing valuable medical insights and contributions across the business. A successful Sr. Manager collaborates cross-functionally, with leaders in Commercial, Integrated Evidence Planning, Data Science, HEOR, Market Access, Marketing, Clinical Education, External Studies, and Clinical Affairs to ensure full alignment of strategy, tactics, expectations, and timelines. In addition, the Sr. Manager develops and demonstrates key opinion leader (KOL) and digital opinion leader (DOL) relationships to support the generation of insights that inform and help drive the commercial strategy.

This position provides an exciting opportunity to bring Dexcom's life-changing technology to emerging and expanding populations through the development and execution of strategic payor initiatives focused on the clinical, economic, and humanistic benefits of Dexcom CGM. This position will enhance access to Dexcom health solutions, giving to our mission of advancing patient care through evidence-based strategies.

Where you come in:

  • You will support the ongoing development and implementation of a payor focused medical affairs strategy.
  • You will serve as the medical and HEOR interface between Dexcom and key collaborators, including medical and pharmacy directors, formulary decision-makers, C-/D-level executives, population health leaders, benefits managers, clinical pharmacists, and directors of quality, case, and utilization management.
  • You will work cross-functionally to support the development of Dexcom's value proposition for all payor sectors and distribution channels.
  • You will communicate the value and differentiation of Dexcom products and solutions to support US market access and reimbursement decisions.
  • You will present/disseminate emerging scientific evidence that supports expanded use cases for Dexcom CGM and biosensor technologies.
  • You will find opportunities for external research collaborations and value-based arrangements.
  • You will analyze clinical trial data, real-world evidence, and health economic data to extract key insights that support Dexcom's value proposition across the payor spectrum.
  • You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on the value messaging and strategic priorities.
  • You will address information requests from payor customers with scientifically thorough, evidence-based responses grounded in clinical practice.
  • You will drive excellence in congress participation and engagement by contributing to the planning, coordination, and execution of medical and HEOR activities, ensuring impactful presence and effective communication with key stakeholders.
  • You will establish and maintain stakeholder relations with key societies and/or professional organizations focused on quality, value-based care, and/or population health.
  • You will plan and implement medical-led events such as scientific advisory forums, working groups, and roundtables, while sharing the insights gained internally to advise business strategies.
  • You will work with health plans and systems to develop and implement initiatives that enhance the quality of diabetes care and improve transitions of care for patients.
  • You will provide medical input for value-based contracting discussions.
  • You will contribute to the creation and dissemination of scientific content for medical and marketing materials.
  • You will provide input on clinical trial design and analysis to ensure generated data is relevant for value assessments.
  • You will contribute to the development of publications and scientific abstracts, providing medical input and support from a value-based care perspective.
  • You will share stakeholder insights, evidence gaps, and market trends to inform internal, cross-functional strategic efforts.
  • You will work closely with both internal and field-based commercial teams to address customer needs and provide an outstanding customer experience.

What Makes You Successful:
  • You hold an advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, MS, MSN, MPH) in a scientific or health-related field.
  • You excel in communicating sophisticated scientific information to diverse stakeholders, including payors, providers, and policy makers.
  • You are proficient in analyzing and interpreting complex data from clinical trials, real-world outcomes data, and economic analyses.
  • You have a strong understanding of clinical methodology and study design.
  • You stay informed about emerging scientific developments, the market access landscape, and the US healthcare environment.
  • You rely on data, prioritize outcomes, and prioritize the needs of our customers.
  • You thrive in a complex and fast-paced working environment, demonstrating adaptability.
  • You are a strong leader with a history of effectively managing, influencing, and developing people.
  • You ensure all activities follow relevant regulatory, ethical, and scientific standards.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • You have biotechnology/pharmaceutical/medical device industry experience in Medical Affairs, Market Access and/or Health Economics Outcomes Research.
  • You have expertise in areas such as population health, quality improvement, and/or healthcare administration.
  • You possess in-depth expertise in diabetes and have hands-on experience with diabetes-related technologies.
  • You have proven experience in authoring peer-reviewed journal articles and conference abstracts.

Travel Required:
  • 20-30%

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree with 13+ years of experience.
  • 5-8 years of previous people management experience.
