Sr. Network Engineer (Palo, F5, ACI, NSX, Meraki) - Hybrid KC MO
Innova Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer with a strong background in advanced network design, deployment, and management.
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise networking, security, and virtualization technologies, with hands-on expertise in Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, and Meraki.
- This role requires a strategic thinker/trusted adviser on ACI and F5 with the ability to implement and manage complex network architectures to support our growing infrastructure - at a hosting enterprise level.
- Candidates with large enterprise level, multi-tenant and MSP service provider experience are highly preferred.
- Job requires local candidates who can work a hybrid onsite schedule in the Kansas City area.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in complex enterprise network environments
- 3+ years of experience designing, managing, and assessing complex IT infrastructures
- Strong understanding of network protocols: TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, VLAN, vRF, NAT, and VXLAN
- Extensive knowledge of network security protocols and technologies: IPsec, SSL/TLS, HA Environments (B/G/Y), and VPNs
- Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (such as Zabbix, Netbox, etc.)
- Experience with network automation and orchestration: Ansible, Powershell, Netmiko, or pyATS
- Solid understanding of network virtualization in a multi-tenant environment: F5, Palo Alto NGFW, VMware NSX, Cisco ACI, Cisco Meraki, or VXLAN-EVPN
- Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) concepts and technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in complex network environments
- 5+ years of experience designing, managing, and assessing complex IT infrastructures
- Expert-level knowledge of Palo Alto NGFW, Cisco Nexus 2k-9k, vPC, vDC, ACI, Meraki, VMware NSX, and F5 systems
- Troubleshooting level experience with Dynamic Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF, and ISIS
- Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance standards: NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA
- Hands-on experience with network scripting and programming: Ansible, Powershell, or pyATS
- Relevant network certifications: CCNP, PCNSE, F5-CTS (LTM/DNS/ASM/APM), AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Advanced Networking Specialty
