Description of primary duties and responsibilities::This position is critical to student success at Fayetteville State University.
Responsible for providing virtual one-on-one coaching to students enrolled in physics, biology, chemistry, natural science, statistics, and/or math. Offer support in the course, encourage assignment completion, and respond to questions. Help connect students with resources such as academic advisors, faculty, Upswing tutors, other academic support services. Conduct weekly check-ins with assigned students via text, phone and email.
Location: Virtual Platform
Undergraduate students taking at least twelve (12) semester hours or graduate students taking at least nine (9) semester hours are considered full-time students and are therefore unable to work more than 20 hours per week total. This provision includes any job in which the student receives compensation from Fayetteville State University.

Peer Coaches will need a camera and access to the university MS Office Package
Knowledgeable of ZOOM, MS-Teams, GoogleMeet
Demonstrated proficiency in the course they are providing coaching in.
Ability to follow directions to implement evidence-based coaching practices.
Ability to document services accurately and meet deadlines.
Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
An interest in working with college students to increase student success.
Junior, senior, or graduate student.
