Position Purpose:

The Substitute Assistant Teacher supports teachers with childcare responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

· Some experience working with children.· Completion of required training including training in universal precautions.· Maintains pediatric First Aid/CPR training certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

· High school graduate.

Key Accountabilities:

· Assists regular staff with childcare in a play-based curriculum.· Works with children ranging from 6 weeks to 54 months.· Assists in supervising children, participating in play, and engaging children.· Participates in some light housekeeping.
