Job Summary
Arlington School is looking for creative dynamic individuals to join our team. We have immediate openings for special education teacher positions. We are a therapeutic day school program for students in grades 9-12. Arlington School special education teachers provide content instruction as well as academic supports for students in a teacher to student classroom ratio of 1:5. The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating to provide a vibrant, supportive learning community for our student population with emotional disabilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills are a must. Primary responsibilities include:

Providing differentiated instruction in selected academic subjects for students with a range of learning styles and abilities
Managing classroom environment
Participating in IEP development
Promoting high standards and expectations for students' achievement.

Qualifications

Current Massachusetts license for teacher of students with moderate disabilities grades 5-12, or teacher of students with severe disabilities. Master's degree in special education preferred.
