Eurofins QC Field Services provides environmental sampling services for In-Network Eurofins laboratories including but not limited to Eurofins QC, Eurofins Eaton Analytical, and Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories. The Field Services Department has over 40 field service technicians, as well as administration, technical subject matter experts, dispatching and sample custody. The Technical Field Services Coordinator is responsible for the resource allocation, equipment maintenance, field training, project scheduling, field safety, and fleet management for all Tier 3 and 4 projects to include compositors, rain event, monitoring wells and low/slow flow sampling.

The coordinator will operate in a matrix framework reporting directly to the Operations Manager, and will serve as the point of contact for the Field Service Manager and Field Service Supervisors for scheduling and planning of technical projects. He/she must maintain prompt communication in response to the Field Services Supervisors, Field Service Manager, and Operations Manager. This position is a combination of in-the-field technical work and administrative coordination duties in the office.

Technical Field Services Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

  • Equipment and resourcing
    • Create and maintain all-inclusive FS equipment manifests/inventory log
    • Create and maintain FS Equipment maintenance schedule and tracking
    • FS Equipment and resource allocation by project
    • Advise on purchase of new equipment
  • Training and scheduling
    • Technical job training for Tier 3-4- composite, rain event, MW and low/slow flow
    • Technical Job scheduling and assignment
  • Safety
    • SME for field safety practices
    • Assist EHS/Safety Officer (Operations Manager) by advising, writing/editing SOPs, training, sharing best practices, reporting recordable incidents for field activities
  • Fleet
    • Manage fleet on the Enterprise portal
    • Verifies regular preventative maintenance through portal & received field reports
    • -Maintain vehicle inspection schedule
    • -Advise Operations Manager on vehicle turnover/new leases- vehicles fit for purpose in field
    • Advise Supervisors/provide Enterprise contact information for emergencies (Supervisors are primary POC for field technicians)
The ideal candidate would possess :
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in environmental sampling techniques, methodologies and processes;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of existing and proposed state, local and federal laws, regulations, rules, and standards as they pertain to environmental field sampling services;
  • Demonstrates an ability to generate training plans and reports to evaluate measureable impact on creating efficiencies throughout the process;
  • Skillfully manage multiple departments, including separate physical locations and subordinate supervisory personnel;
  • Demonstrates an ability to work collaboratively within the Logistics Department, cross train and take on various roles that pertain to the department as a whole.
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Basic Minimum Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 2+ years experience in environmental sampling
  • 2+ years experience as a project coordinator
  • Ability to lift articles up to 50 lbs.
  • A valid Driver's license (required at the time of appointment).
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Horsham PA are encouraged to apply.
