Job Summary
The Technical Project Manager shall lead Projects that deliver innovative solutions for data centers, communication networks, and commercial and industrial facilities, based on Vertiv's thermal, power, battery, and monitoring products. Role will involve managing technical requirement specifications, timelines, resources, and deliverables while ensuring technical and operational excellence. Will work closely with cross functional engineering teams, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, testing, and implementing complex embedded control systems, primarily for critical digital infrastructure applications.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, real-time operating systems, and relevant programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Python).
  • Gather and interpret technical systems specifications from both internal and external clients and create functional, architectural and design specifications.
  • Ensure that all technical requirements are defined and met and that solutions adhere to Vertiv's quality standards.
  • Lead daily scrum meetings and oversee the development, testing, and integration of embedded systems software.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance throughout the project lifecycle to the engineering development teams enabling them to push through roadblocks.
  • Provide technical expertise in the testing of a distributed control system, including subsystems user interfaces, databases, security conformance, and network communications.
  • Experienced on Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), Compilers and Toolchains, Debuggers, Unit Testing Frameworks, Test Automation tools, Simulation and Emulation tools, Performance analysis tools, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools (Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Experienced with project management methodologies (e.g., SAFe Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Experienced with using Project Management tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, Power BI, Smartsheet etc.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 10+ years' experience, preferred in multinational company environment
  • Experienced in Project Management / Program Management / Product management of embedded system products.
  • Working knowledge of Embedded Systems - Electrical and Electronics components, Firmware, Communication Protocols
  • Knowledge of various microprocessors and microcontrollers used in embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with Real-time Operating System (RTOS)/Linux and their application in embedded systems.
  • Working knowledge of communication protocols commonly used in embedded systems, such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet.
  • Experience with integration of hardware and software components in embedded systems.
  • Experience with Programming languages - C/C++, Python.
  • Understanding of quality assurance processes and standards, especially those relevant to embedded systems.
  • Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Proven experience in managing embedded systems projects from initiation to completion.
  • Proficiency in using Project Management tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, Power BI, Smartsheet etc.
  • CSM or PSO or PSM Certification preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in working with DevSecOps area, familiar with vulnerability assessments processes and audit procedures issues preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and testers.
  • Experience in relevant industries such as Automotive, Power Management and Solutions, Consumer Electronics, Telecommunications, or Medical Devices.
  • High level of attention to detail to ensure project quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address project challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders and team members.
