RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Technical Writer in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Englewood, CO. Summary:In this role, the Technical Writer will work with engineers to generate content to communicate all aspects of a project to facilitate cross-organizational transfer of information. This includes the development of presentation material and documentation in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word. Some basic business case aptitude is desirable. The Technical Writer will be responsible to help manage Confluence Chalk Pages for a technical engineering team with the potential of fully managing Chalk Pages. Responsibilities:- Own the development and organization of Team's document repository
- Review existing Confluence document repository structure
- Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are addressed
- Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions
- Review content with individual teams to understand their specific goals
- Work with leadership to understand their documentation needs
- Develop an easy to use, intuitive documentation repository structure that meet individual team's technical needs and leadership's ease of access needs
- Effectively communicate documentation solutions
- Refine, organize, and develop architecture and continuous integration (CI) and release documentation
- Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension
- Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team
- Knows, understands and follows company policy
- Performs other duties as requested by manager
REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree or related field or related work experience
- 3+ years of developing and organizing technical documentation
- 1+ years of experience with Confluence
- Ability to write user-friendly, engaging copy about highly technical subjects
- Ability to understand and Accurately translate technical information for a general audience
- Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Confluence
- Fluency with common office software, Lucid Charts and PlantUML are a plus
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter
- Ability to check all technical material for consistency and accuracy
- Exceptional attention to detail skills
- Organized self-starter and leader that is fearless at reaching across multiple teams to develop solutions
- Self-motivated individual with a drive to contribute and learn new technical concepts
- Strong verbal and writing communication skills are also essential
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
