We currently have an exciting career opportunity in our Tax Processing Services team for a Data Validators, Scanner and Sorter to support our Parsippany office in a on-site capacity.
CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. Due to the nature of this role, this position is considered 100% on-site which means it must be consistently performed at an assigned CohnReznick office location and require daily commute to the office location.
This is a temporary (seasonal) position. There are two START dates available for Data Validators:
- First group will start Wednesday, January 22nd
- Second group will start Wednesday, February 5th
Scanner and Sorter positions start Monday, February 17th and the END date for all positions is on or about April 7th.
Hours for all positions will be:Initially, 9am-4pm M-F through February 21st
Starting February 24th, 9am-5pm M-F
Must be available for overtime as needed (weekday evenings and possibly Saturdays).
- Overtime anticipated to start early to mid-March.

YOUR ROLE.Responsibilities include but not limited to:

VALIDATORS - will compare, validate amounts and information from government forms that are extracted by the scan program. Accuracy is a must as this information will then be imported directly into client tax returns. In addition to the Scan program, validator will be using other software programs to track jobs and electronically store documents. Validators will be working on screen 95% of the time.

SORTER - will prepare client documents for scanning. This includes removing any staples or clips and making necessary copies. Sorter will generate scan cover sheets, insert target sheets, and physically count documents.

SCANNER -Will scan in Client documents and perform quality controls to ensure accuracy. Scanner will maintain and clean scan hardware.
YOUR EXPERIENCE.The successful candidate will have:
- Proficient computer use in a business environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Strong organizational skills; effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience with Adobe, Caseware, GoFileRoom, CCH ProSystem Scan is a plus!
- Ability to work overtime (evenings and Saturdays) as needed with or without advanced notice.
- Ability to multi-task and turn around projects quickly.
- Extensive administrative and computer use.
- Dependable, reliable, and a strong attention to detail with the ability to self-review.
- Can-do attitude and an ability to work under pressure to meet deadline.
