Job Purpose:

Our Supply Chain Development Program is an 18-month immersive program designed to accelerate development of recent college graduates by providing meaningful experience and broad exposure to Veritiv's global operations. Participants will have rotations of six months working in various operations departments and be placed in a hands-on learning environment with guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure we meet our commitments to our customers. Participants will develop a strong understanding of Veritiv's end-to-end Supply Chain from how we purchase goods, transport them and get them stored, picked and delivered from the warehouse. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be well-equipped to immediately step into opportunities within Veritiv's Supply Chain organization.

Job Responsibilities:
• Work closely with members of the assigned team to develop subject matter knowledge in the key functions of warehouse operations, transportation and supply chain planning.
• Serve as liaison between Veritiv's suppliers, sales force, operations, inventory team and our TL and LTL carriers.
• Determine lowest cost carrier and best mode of transportation for Veritiv's third-party core shipments
• Manage the planning and execution of our inventory strategy for a specific set of items and suppliers within Oracle to support business targets for Fill Rate and Days Inventory on Hand (DIOH).
• Plan and coordinate work activities of warehouse functions including receiving, picking, shipping, delivery, security and inventory control.
• Acquire knowledge and experience of the full lifecycle of the processes and roles that are critical to our warehouse operations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and optimize cost and time effectiveness.
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism working cross functionally with internal and external customers adhering to Company guidelines and meeting objectives thoroughly and on time.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
• Graduation between December 2023 and December 2024 with the ability to start in January 2025 for Cohort 1.
• Graduation between May 2024 and May 2025 with the ability to start in June 2025 for Cohort 2.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related discipline is preferred.
• Experience working in the LTL and Truckload carrier industry is a plus.
• Exposure in supply chain management software and ERP systems in preferred.
• Must be passionate about continuously improving yourself, our services, and our culture.
• Must be willing to travel or relocate as needed to fulfill job placement after completion of program.

Work Experience:
• 0-1 years of related job experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Basic experience of simple office/operational systems.
• Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
• Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives.
• Experience working with ERP systems, contract management, CRM systems and project management tools preferred.
• Must possess a thorough understanding of the distribution business.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
• Strong planning and organization skills are required.

Education:
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
